Acacien Foundation
Bringing Land Back to Life for People and Planet.
"We believe that by restoring land and promoting sustainable stewardship, we can help stabilize communities, empower nations, and prove that there is enough for all:
enough food, enough opportunity, and enough HOPE to grow the future."

Our Story
After eight years of the adventure of running a sheep farm in the challenging climate and terrain of the Norwegian mountains, we experienced firsthand the delicate dance between production and sustainability and the politics of land management. Managing animals and caring for the soil taught us how vital it is to work with nature, not against it and we saw how global agendas can affect local communities and entire nations.
This journey deepened our passion for focusing on the importance of sustainable farming and being involved in the politics of land use. We started our foundation to help restore ecosystems, promote regenerative agriculture, and support farmers in building a more resilient, nature-connected future to give their communities hope.

Focus
Reviving Land, Restoring Balance.

Sustainable Farming
Industrial products and practices are degrading soil, polluting water, and disrupting the natural balance that sustainable farming depends on. In fact, traditional farming has so many natural alternative solutions to industrial production, it is just a matter of education and application to bring back the natural balance.

Restortation
Restoring native lands improves soil health, boosts biodiversity, and strengthens the resilience of surrounding farmland. By reintroducing native plants and natural ecosystems, the land becomes better at retaining water, supporting pollinators, and resisting pests and disease.

Building Legacy
Farmers that use smart branding, business development and marketing to showcase their sustainable practices, connect with communities, and build a lasting legacy for future generations. We encourage farmers to tell their own story and become more trusted and visible in their communities.
